Morning meeting: alphabet, weather, calendar, math (counting) (How else do you help students to make connections to make and the real world?)
Grade 1
The students will work on filling in pocket charts with # of days in school, the day of the week (Today is, Yesterday was, Tomorrow will be,) the date on a calendar, the weather on a graph, # of children absent and present. Children will practice counting by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s and 10’s to 40, 80 and 100 at different points of the year. Students will also review the days of the week and the months of the year.
